Legal Matters
LPC clinicians have a long history of working with judges, attorneys, and clients who have become involved in the legal system. We provide evidence-based evaluations of both adults and juveniles involved in criminal, civil, and family proceedings, and we take extra care to monitor the professional literature to ensure the most valid, reliable, and up-to-date practices are utilized. We work collaboratively to formulate a specific referral question and to provide individualized assessment and treatment plans. Our practice includes providers who are able to use formal psychological testing to assist in legal matters where more objective information would assist in answering complicated legal questions. We provide court-ordered treatment, consultation with other professionals, and expert testimony. Our office is equipped with audio and video recording equipment if this form of documentation is requested and warranted.
